Job Title: Reliability Improvement Specialist

About the Role:

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Improvement Specialist to join our client in Co. Cork, Ireland for a 12-month initial contract role.

The successful candidate will be the primary owner of the Asset Maintenance Strategy and will be responsible for improving asset management and reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and optimization of the site maintenance process.

  • Provide expert advice on improving Equipment Reliability, Risk-Based Asset Management, and Cost Management.
  • Develop engineering solutions to prevent repetitive failures and costly equipment problems.
  • Maintain the Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) program such as vibration, thermography, and other predictive analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Improve asset management and reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and optimization of the site maintenance process.
  2. Provide expert advice on improving Equipment Reliability, Risk-Based Asset Management, and Cost Management.
  3. Develop engineering solutions to prevent repetitive failures and costly equipment problems.
  4. Maintain the Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) program such as vibration, thermography, and other predictive analyses.
  5. Analyze equipment history within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure effectiveness of all maintenance efforts.
  6. Reduce and improve maintenance work, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of plant, process, and equipment while protecting and prolonging the economic life of plant assets at optimal cost.
  7. Benchmark other sites and industries for new emerging technologies and techniques.
  8. Implement digital solutions and SMART maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree qualification, preferably mechanical or electrical.
  • +5 years of professional experience.
  • Desirable +3 years of experience working in a similar role in an industrial environment or within a specialized consultancy.
