Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead our team in delivering high-quality structural design solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and experience in designing steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed design work, undertaking project delivery tasks, and leading design meetings, site meetings, and carrying out site inspections.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of detailed design work
  • Undertake project delivery tasks, which may include calculations, drawings, sketches, and reports
  • Work with CAD/Revit Technicians for production of projects drawings
  • Lead design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections
  • Mentor and guide graduate /junior engineers
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines and with staff internally
  • Maintain client contact and ensure that project delivery meets the client's objectives and requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum MEng (Hons) University Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' broad post qualification experience in a competitive working environment
  • Focused on achieving IStructE chartered status with 5 years post qualification experience
  • A client-focused approach with effective time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Effective communicator and problem solver
  • Ability to liaise with members of design / construction teams
