Job Title: Senior Security Compliance Specialist

The role of a senior security compliance specialist is crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of an organisation’s information assets. In this position, you will be responsible for leading internal and external audits, driving risk management initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, scope, and manage internal and external information security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee audit processes, review findings, and develop practical recommendations to improve controls and reduce risk.
  • Support compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks/standards by conducting control testing and risk assessments across critical systems and processes.
  • Partner with control owners to drive remediation, evidence collection, and compliance-by-design to ensure that controls are operating effectively.
  • Contribute to policies, procedures, and compliance reporting to leadership to ensure that the organisation is meeting its obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable governance, risk, and compliance solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in IT audit, information security, and risk management, with experience working with regulatory requirements such as GDPR.
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, COSO, or HITRUST, and proficiency in GRC tools and control testing.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP) desirable, but not essential.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
