Senior Medical Scientist Role

The Senior Medical Scientist role is a critical position within our clinical laboratory service, requiring the highest standards of technical and scientific expertise.

This senior-level scientist will play a key role in supporting the laboratory's operations, ensuring that all aspects of work meet the required standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical science and laboratory settings, with a minimum of 4 years' experience and post-graduate qualifications at NFQ Level 9 or equivalent.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Performing a range of laboratory tasks, including routine, specialized, and research/development work.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

Key Requirements:

  • Post-graduate qualification at NFQ Level 9 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a medical laboratory setting.
  • Registration with CORU on the Medical Scientists Register.
