About the Role:

The Electricity Supply Board (ESB) is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations System Specialist to join its Distribution Markets and System Operation (DMSO) team. As a key member of the Operations Systems Support (OSS) team, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the ESB's Operational Technology (OT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain 24x7 operation of the Network Management System (NMS), including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues.
  • Provide support to ensure the smooth roll out and reliable operation of the NMS.
  • Support NMS business users and manage communications to these users.
  • Maintain and keep the network model up to date with daily quality audits and issue resolution.
  • Support system maintenance activities, including product upgrades, security patch upgrades, and site switch activities.
  • Maintain existing reporting and dashboards and develop new reports and dashboards required by business users.
  • Support the business during critical service interruptions and major weather events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver on the key responsibilities outlined above.
  • A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to ESB safety, time, quality, and cost objectives.
  • The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage own work and support others within project team.
  • The ability to technically mentor junior team members.
  • A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service.
