Role Overview:
We are seeking a Specialist Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to join our team at St. James Hospital.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced nurse practitioner to take on a key role in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease.
You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert nursing care to patients, including those with heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assess and manage patients with cardiovascular disease, including those with heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias
- To develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- To educate patients and their families about self-care and disease management
- To work closely with our cardiologist and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Requirements:
- Be a Registered Nurse/Midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in specialist area of Cardiology care
- Have successfully completed a post-registration programme of study relevant to the specialist area of care
