About the Position

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management of risk related matters to ensure that practices, systems and documentation comply with law and regulation contractual obligations and applicable codes of practice.
  • Develop approaches to address regulatory development and other risk change requirements.
  • Analyse new legislation determine its impact and liaise with business partners to ensure successful implementation.
  • Deliver against the Group Risk Management Framework.
  • Represent at appropriate governance committees and boards.
  • Development and management of annual compliance monitoring and assurance plans.
  • Provide advice monitoring and supporting a healthy pro business/pro compliance balance with key stakeholders when proactively managing the Compliance and Risk Management Framework.
Experience/Requirements

Extensive proven track record of 10 yrs plus at a senior leadership level in financial services with a strong understanding of Irish regulatory landscape.

MiFID/cross border life and investments sectoral experience ideal.

A natural mentor manager who thrives in developing teams partnering skill and best in class compliance management framework.

Significant previous experience of proven leadership managerial experience with ability to lead develop teams.

Naturally solution focused concise supportive guidance oversight.

Excellent knowledge of risk compliance best practices downstream regulatory changes impacts ie DORA IAF.

Experience analysing complex risk compliance issues reporting.

Well-developed relationship management interpersonal skills essential and proven record of obtaining stakeholder buy-in across all levels of business.

Strong communication skills engage directly with business clients external parties.
