The Office of Public Works is responsible for the provision of infrastructure services to support the delivery of public services. Our goal is to provide high-quality services that meet the needs of our customers. As a Civil Engineering Technician with us, you will play a key role in achieving this goal.

Job Description
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Working on various projects related to civil engineering, including the operation and maintenance of surface water and rainfall monitoring stations;
  • Undertaking flow measurement using the latest technology;
  • Installing new monitoring stations;
  • Operating and maintaining telemetry equipment;
  • Quality assessing and managing collected hydrometric data;
  • Planning and setting out construction projects, and measuring and recording progress;
  • Undertaking surveys of rivers, lakes, and coastal locations using the latest technology, including drones and GIS; and
  • Managing office administration.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, as well as experience working with software applications relevant to this field. A degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. In addition, you should be at least 18 years old and meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
