About the Role:
We are recruiting an EHS Specialist to work on behalf of our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Ireland. This contract position involves providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to EHS.
The successful candidate will develop and implement EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, manage contractors, investigate incidents, respond to emergencies, and ensure equipment and machine safety. Additionally, they will assist operational departments in achieving compliance, prepare reports for site and corporate management, and evaluate EHS requirements for new projects and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with local legislation and industry best practices
- Assist operational departments in achieving compliance
- Prepare reports for site and corporate management
- Evaluate EHS requirements for new projects and processes
Requirements:
- Technical bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or Science/Engineering qualification
- Post-grad EHS qualification desirable
- 3+ years' EHS experience in Pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry
- Proven track record of success in EHS sector
- Experience in supporting multiple activities/projects
- Strong understanding of EHS topics
- Innovative and compliance-minded with drive to seek out necessary information
- 'Safety First' mindset
- Team player capable of working within multi-functional team environment
