As a Software Engineering Manager at Datavant Corporation, you will play a key role in growing our healthcare data ecosystem solution for clients. You will mentor and guide engineers to develop exceptional products, take on impactful work from day one, and step into a challenging role that will accelerate your career growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coach - Provide just-in-time feedback, conduct 1:1s, annual reviews, and find continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead – Actively collaborate with the team of your peers, keep your pod focused and engaged, contribute to engineering-wide decisions on technical strategy, product strategy, and organizational strategy.
  • Design and Review - Write and review technical specifications. Read tons of code and review PRs. Possibly write code ranging from POCs to small bug fixes.
  • Ship – Deliver on your pod's product roadmap commitments. Influence the product roadmap to ensure it incorporates necessary technical investments and considers longer-term architectural goals.
  • Increase your team's capacity to ship – Mentor your team, match engineers to appropriate growth opportunities, and actively contribute to hiring for your team.

**Requirements:**

  • 2-3+ years of experience managing direct reports, with a strong drive to dive in and deliver high-quality products.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace the ambiguity of an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company, capable of juggling multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Exceptional at understanding and designing software engineering systems, with a focus on building and optimising internal software platforms.
