**About the Position:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Social Care Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The post holder will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the Service reflect the ethos and vision of Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI). They will work closely with the social care team and individuals supported by the service to develop and implement person-centred plans, promoting independence and autonomy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and develop choice and decision-making skills, self-advocacy skills, and opportunities for involvement in advocacy.
  • Enable individuals to pursue hobbies and interests, foster self-help and social skills, and promote community integration.
  • Ensure a person-centred approach to service delivery, supporting individuals with occupation and leisure activities, communication, behaviour support plans, independent living skills, and social integration.
  • Develop and implement person-centred plans, addressing individual needs and promoting independence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, IT proficiency, and a valid driver's licence.
