Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

The role of a Manufacturing Engineer involves the conception, design, development, and installation of new products or production lines. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to improve production processes to make them more cost-effective and efficient over time.

A key part of this job is resolving technical problems, selecting precision tools for different machines, and performing Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimise manufacturing cell performance.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
  • Lead process optimisation using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
  • Analyse product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimise manufacturing cell performance.
  • Ensure company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
  • Working knowledge of automation and assembly processes, laser welding systems, robotics, and validation lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
