The Institute of Public Administration is seeking a Senior Sustainability Expert to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and delivering professional development services in the areas of public service sustainability and climate action.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the operational relationship with public service clients, designing, delivering, and evaluating professional development programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of public service staff in this critical area.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Work closely with the Director of Professional Development and colleagues to strategically plan for the Department's Sustainability and Climate Action portfolio.
- Implement the strategic plan, communicating the vision and objectives to the team.
- Monitor progress against plan, taking proactive and/or remedial action as required.
- Initiate and develop services to respond to the challenges and opportunities facing clients.
- Proactively engage with clients to identify learning, development, and advisory needs.
- Collaborate with other PD teams and Departments across the Institute.
- B build and manage client relationships across the public service.
- Develop responses to client requests.
- Lead the team on the design and development of professional development solutions.
- Convene and deliver training and development programs.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive positive change and contribute to the development of a more sustainable and effective public service.
