About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with young individuals and making a positive impact in their lives. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to young individuals, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a key support figure for individual young people, fostering partnerships with external agencies referred to the service.
  2. Provide support to young individuals who have undergone trauma or exhibit challenging behaviour.
  3. Advocate for the social work, aftercare, education, training, and legal rights of young individuals.
  4. Foster the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each young person under our care.
  5. Uphold the rights and responsibilities of every young person within our service.
  6. Communicate with parents, family members, general services, and other agencies on behalf of the young person.
  7. Maintain accurate records related to the residential unit and individual young people in compliance with legal requirements and health and safety regulations.
  8. Encourage the active involvement of young people in decision-making processes concerning their lives, both individually and collectively.
  9. Attend and actively contribute to team, review, and agency meetings as necessary.
