Lead Finance Professional
We are seeking an experienced Lead Finance Professional to drive commercial success in a market-leading retail organisation.
This role will oversee the finance function, engaging in business partnering with department heads to optimise and drive profitability. The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in Retail or FMCG sectors.
The ideal candidate will be able to work side by side with budget holders to optimise performance and provide commercial insights to drive cost reduction and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring strong performance and collaboration.
- Oversee period-end, monthly management, variance analysis, audit, and core internal finance deliverables.
- Engage in business partnering with 10 department heads, optimising and driving profitability.
- Provide commercial insights, leverage numbers, and identify key metrics.
- Collaborate closely with the Group FD and other budget holders on budgets and performance.
- Drive cost reduction and sales growth through proactive commercial ideas and solutions.
What You'll Need To Succeed
Requirements:
- Fully qualified professional with 5 to 7 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with department heads.
- Experience in Retail or FMCG sectors, particularly in trading entities or environments, is advantageous.
- Alternatively, a background in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Customer-Facing roles would be ideal.
