Job Title

Project Manager for Data Centre Operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead our data centre operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all services supplied to allocated projects, being the primary point of contact for key hyperscale clients and delivering total customer satisfaction from design development through to production, delivery and handover.

Responsibilities
  • To act as the primary interface between us and clients in respect of design, operational/delivery and financial matters.
  • Overall responsibility for project P&L.
  • Production and issue of accurate monthly internal reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Responsibility for the production of specific back up documents for each project.
  • To compile and produce monthly client reports for review by the Country Operations Manager and DC commercial lead.
  • To plan and coordinate design and production activities.
  • To plan and coordinate material procurement and supply chain liaison in line with project plans.
  • To plan and coordinate resourcing requirements in line with project plans.
  • To plan and coordinate 3rd party suppliers in line with project plans.
  • To plan and coordinate project handover documentation in line with project plans.
  • Develop and deliver project handover documentation.
  • Ensuring adherence by the Design and Production teams to published Contractual and Commercial responsibilities.
  • Transference of all warranties to the Contracts team upon project completion.
  • Overall responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety Policies on assigned projects.
  • Overall responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance Policies on assigned projects.
  • Overall responsibility for all deliverables (including documentation) conforming to both Group and the Client's published Quality Management System.
  • Overall accountability for all actions of the project teams.
  • Overall responsibility for the motivation and development of allocated resources.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal resources and client management teams.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling deployments in data centres.
  • Extensive experience of Project Planning activities.
  • Ability to produce and deliver client presentations in a clear, concise and confident manner.
  • Ability to absorb and manage new services and applications.
  • Experience and temperament to deal with multiple site design and production activities.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop project team personnel.
  • Experience of delivering services against formal sub-contracts.
