This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent salary. The role will suit an experienced professional, particularly one with a background and experience in Food Safety and Quality Systems.

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the quality food safety systems on site. Key duties include:

  • Responsibility for HACCP / Plant Hygiene / GMP / Pest Control / Internal Audits / Customer Complaints.
  • Ensuring the systems in place deliver product quality to agreed specifications consistently.
  • Responsible for all matters relating to food safety and encouraging/promoting a Quality Culture throughout the company.
  • Working closely with site Management and Team Leaders to lead a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Training of all staff on site.
  • Play a key role in audits on site i.e. 3rd Party, customer, regulatory.
  • Management of the site hygiene department.
  • Management of contract cleaning.
  • Planning and implementing corrective/preventative actions as required.
  • Ensure company policy and operational standards are always maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A 3rd level qualification.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance role.
  • Auditing experience to include internal, customer, regulatory, and 3rd Party.
  • People management experience.
  • Flexibility.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
