Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our Planning and Mapping team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

The successful candidate will utilise spatial mapping tools to manage property files and geospatial data, performing tasks such as creating, modifying, maintaining, and analysing spatial information within the ArcGIS environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage property files and geospatial data using spatial mapping tools.
  • Perform tasks including creating, modifying, maintaining, and analysing spatial information within the ArcGIS environment.
  • Prepare and quality control migrating existing spatial data to a new GIS platform.
  • Develop internal standards for map production.
  • Survey and produce legal mapping and provide related advisory services to stakeholders.
  • Examine property title documents and define boundaries to determine the location and ownership of property interests.
Requirements
  • Hold qualifications in Surveying, GIS, Geomatics, or Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MapInfo, or similar GIS software.
  • Knowledge/experience of land management GIS systems and architecture, public spatial data sets, legal and compliant mapping, topographical land surveying, and interaction with public spatial data sets.
  • A valid full driving licence is desirable.
