Job Description

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our residential care team as Social Care Workers. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting individuals with their daily living needs while promoting their personal development and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing Person-Centred Care: Deliver person-centred care and support to residents in line with their individual care plans.
  2. Assisting Daily Activities: Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social engagement.
  3. Supporting Independence: Support residents in developing independence and achieving personal goals.
  4. Recreational and Therapeutic Activities: Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities.
  5. Maintaining a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe and supportive living environment.
  6. Progress Reporting: Document and report on residents' progress and any concerns in accordance with organizational policies.
  7. Collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. A relevant qualification in Social Care, Psychology, or a related field (minimum Level 7 on the NFQ).
  2. Registration with CORU is desirable.
  3. Previous experience working in a residential care setting is desirable.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  6. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  7. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
