The Clinical Placement Co-ordinator is a key role within our Nursing Practice Development Department at TN Ireland. As a Clinical Placement Co-ordinator, you will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Managers and Registered Nurses to ensure that our students receive high-quality clinical training and education.
Responsibilities- To have knowledge of the Nursing Degree programme and awareness of the clinical experiences required to meet the needs of the programme.
- Assist in overseeing the nursing practice of students during their practice placements.
- Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager and Registered Nurses in ensuring that students are assigned to patient care in an appropriate and effective learning way.
- Ensure that each student is assessed by the Clinical Nurse Manager or designated Registered Nurse in accordance with agreed procedures and standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Be registered in the General Division of the active Register held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.
- Have 5 years post-registration experience and a minimum of 2 years must be in a student learning environment.
- Have a third-level qualification at not less than level 7 on the NFQ framework.
- Have completed Preceptorship in Practice Course or Teaching & Assessing Course.
- Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
