Financial Services Audit Role

Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious and diligent Senior Manager to join our Financial Services Team with a focus on banking, capital markets, assets management, and aircraft leasing clients.

This position offers excellent advancement opportunities working with a diverse range of high-profile financial institutions. You will work closely with our international colleagues on cross-border assignments and build close working relationships with the senior management team and partners while playing an active role in the ongoing development of our financial services division.

This role requires an individual with strong technical, interpersonal and client relationship skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant with relevant FS audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment (minimum 4 years PQE)
  • Role model within the team, setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self-development.
  • Communicates team goals with clarity, sets clear objectives for team members that are aligned to business plans and monitors and assesses performance, providing timely feedback and support as necessary.
  • Effectively develops talent within the team.
  • Experience leading and operational supervision of large audit group assignments.
  • Thorough understanding and technical proficiency in IFRS.
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.

  1. Develop and manage a portfolio of FS clients
  2. Assist partners and directors in business development activities
  3. Control the financial aspects of a client portfolio; including budgeting, negotiating, billing and recovery.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships across the firm and assist and collaborate with different business areas
  5. Effectively plan and resource staff on assignments.
  6. Promote the firm's values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance, using flexibility and tact to express views as necessary.
  7. Communicate team goals with clarity and set clear objectives for team members that are aligned to business plans and monitor and assess performance, providing timely feedback and support as necessary.
  8. Recruit, promote and develop talent within the team, ensuring equal opportunities and providing feedback.
  9. Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of the firm's risk management policies and operational procedures and ensure team adherence to these.
  10. Ensure client expectations and issues are understood, developing collaborative relationships.
  11. Contribute to learning & development and coaching of junior staff including participation in the delivery of internal training courses.
