Senior Audit Manager - Technology, Pharma, and Insurance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Manager to lead our Technology, Pharma, and Insurance sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point-of-contact to proactively manage client expectations.

This role involves coordinating international reporting with Group and Component Auditors, leading audit teams through planning and execution, and managing staff resource allocation. The role also requires providing technical auditing and accounting assistance, reporting directly to senior managers or directors, and overseeing the team's financial performance, including billing and cash collections.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of ISAs and accounting standards. They will also possess proven management skills and behaviours, a strong market/commercial awareness, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across Technology, Pharma, and Insurance industries.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients, working closely with Financial Controller/Director or Senior Executive levels in managing the audit-specific requirements.
  • Manage international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors.
  • Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.
  • Lead teams on the planning, execution, and completion of audits.
  • Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.
  • Report directly to senior manager/director on engagements.
  • Assist with managing the team's financial performance e.g., agreeing and billing of fees, cash collections, monitoring recoverability of WIP, etc.
  • Participate in the coaching, mentoring, and appraisal of staff.
  • Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work.
