Job Title: Marine Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Technician to join our team as a Direct Entry Engine Room Artificer.

This role involves the maintenance and repair of critical onboard systems, including propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary machinery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine or mechanical engineering, with relevant qualifications such as HETAC Level 7 or QQI Advanced Certificate Craft.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of onboard systems
  • Preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
  • Participation in emergency response operations at sea
  • Collaboration with other engineers and technicians to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
  • Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
  • Age: 18–39 years on the date of application
