Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the care and welfare of young children, create stimulating learning opportunities, and contribute to the development of a high-quality child-centred early years provision.

The successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit early years team, supporting the needs of our youngest children and their families. They must have experience working within an early years environment and be committed to ongoing professional development, holding at least one of the following qualifications: NNEB, HNC, SVQ 3 Children's Care Learning & Development, or SVQ 3 Early Years Care & Education. A BA Early Learning and Childcare qualification (Graduate Apprentice) is also acceptable.

To meet the requirements for registration with the SSSC, we expect the practitioner to have a strong understanding of child development and learning principles. Their role will involve actively contributing to the planning and coordination of programs of learning in an early years establishment, effectively communicating with children, parents/carers, and team members, as well as outside agencies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to program planning and coordination, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for young children.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, building strong relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Support children with distressed behaviors, utilizing effective strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the team, promoting good teamwork and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Holding a recognized early years qualification, such as NNEB, HNC, SVQ 3 Children's Care Learning & Development, or SVQ 3 Early Years Care & Education.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Learning and Childcare (Graduate Apprentice).
  • Registration with the SSSC, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
