AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
About This RoleWe're looking for talented people who want to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
Key responsibilities include designing fiber solutions, maintaining records surrounding our fiber optic infrastructure using GIS and associated tools.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills.
- Experience in the creation of engineering design and documents, single line drawings, cable routing, and splicing work packages in GIS platforms including GE Smallworld
- Possess knowledge of telco GIS data models used in the design of fiber networks, representing civils infrastructure and physical fiber connectivity
- Understanding of data translation tools including FME, and experience establishing ETL and data conversion routines to load external file based data into the GIS inventory
