**Job Title:** Sourcing Attorney Specialist

This role involves advising on commercial transactions, supplier negotiations, and related initiatives. We are seeking a seasoned lawyer with substantial experience in commercial transactions, excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Draft, negotiate, and review sourcing contracts across categories such as software/cloud, professional services, network assets, and telecom transport.
  • Understanding Business Goals: Understand Verizon's business and value goals underlying sourcing transactions, balancing legal, business, policy, and reputational risks to support strategic objectives.
  • Advising Senior Management: Advise senior management on complex contract issues and risk allocation for strategic transactions.
  • Providing Interpretive Support: Provide interpretive support to internal teams on contract terms and compliance.
  • Improving Contracting Processes: Improve contracting processes by developing and implementing terms responsive to new technologies and legal challenges.
  • Assessing Legislative Developments: Assess legislative and regulatory developments impacting supply chain and procurement, leading compliance strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Law Degree: Law degree from an accredited U.S. or Irish law school.
  • Active Membership: Active membership in a U.S. state bar or license to practice law in Ireland.
  • Experience: Experience as a practicing attorney in a large law firm or in-house legal department with relevant transactional expertise.

Please note that this is a hybrid role involving remote work and scheduled office days.
