Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Manage and develop a team of c. 15-21 accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and performance feedback.
- Oversight: Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payments and vendor management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- KPI Development: Develop and maintain KPI's to measure and report on performance of the accounts payable function.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve complex accounts payable issues and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Process Improvements
- Analysis: Analyse current AP processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implementation: Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline accounts payable operations.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize invoice processing and payment workflows.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accounts payable processes with other financial and operational systems.
