Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Geologist to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about geology and have a strong foundation in geological principles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections, supervising site investigation works, and analyzing geological data.

They will also be involved in the creation of geotechnical designs that align with industry standards and support the preparation of reports and presentations.

In addition, the graduate will monitor compliance with safety, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements and contribute to the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site inspections to verify designs are properly executed in the field.
  • Supervise site investigation works, including rock mapping and slope stability analysis.
  • Analyze geological data and create geotechnical designs that align with industry standards.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the tendering process.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree or Master's in Applied or Engineering Geology.
  • Basic understanding of engineering geology and geotechnical concepts.
  • Familiarity with field techniques like rock mapping, stereonets, slope stability, kinematic analysis, and basic risk assessment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health and Safety Regulations.
