Supply Chain Director for External Partnerships

Cytokinetics, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director for External Partnerships to lead our External Supply Operations department. In this critical role, you will drive strategic partnerships, operational excellence, and supply chain efficiency in external manufacturing and related activities. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate complex global supply chains.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with contract manufacturers (CMOs) and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the execution of all supply plans at assigned CMOs, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Develop and manage production processes to support operational execution, including BOMs, specifications, CAPAs, change controls, master data, and artwork.
  • Support logistics, transportation, and import/export activities to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Biology, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, outsourced operations, or supply chain in the regulated healthcare industry.
  • Technical background with knowledge of engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingsness to travel domestically and internationally (~15%).
  • Familiarity with regulations affecting the pharmaceutical industry (CFRs).
