Lead Financial Advisory Professional

The Finance and Accounting Services team is a leading service offering focused on delivering high-value relationships with clients and supporting them in the continuous development of their finance functions.

As a senior advisor in the finance advisory services team, you will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and enhancing existing client relationships, leading highly skilled project teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences through complex engagements.

Our core service offerings include:

  • Financial reporting and accounting services
  • Transaction accounting and capital markets services
  • Finance process design and analytics services
  • Treasury and finance support services

Key responsibilities include:

  • Growing the finance optimisation business by actively pursuing new business opportunities, client contacts, and areas of growth
  • Networking and representing the practice at events, client seminars, and similar
  • Leading day-to-day delivery on client engagement projects to maintain quality and our promise for exceptional service delivery to all clients
  • Client management and liaison with senior client stakeholders to build strong working relationships
  • Managing performance of junior team members through coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive and timely feedback
  • Liaison with other teams and service lines to ensure seamless solutions for clients
  • Keeping engagement leaders updated on progress and bringing attention to any issues with proposed solutions
  • Preparing high-quality client deliverables, including technical financial analysis papers, GAAP compliant financial statements, project reports, and special purpose financial information
  • Presentation of results to senior team members or clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Developing talent pool through internal initiatives like training, counselling, mentoring, role modelling, and promoting employee wellbeing

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • Accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and FRS 102 principles
  • Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge
  • Experience in finance process design, including controls and process optimisation, and ideally experience in adoption of technology tools or automations

Ideally, you will also have:

  • US GAAP and SOX knowledge
  • Proven ability and interest in business development and networking
  • Proven ability to work on complex financial issues and transactions and an ability to clearly articulate advice in written deliverables
  • Proven experience leading planning, execution, and reporting on engagements
  • Good working knowledge of finance governance and reporting, finance operations, processes, and internal controls
  • Industry experience
