The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Quality Control Expert to join our client's expanding team. As a Mechanical Engineering Quality Control Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellence in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) across all projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- To develop and enforce quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) processes and standards that enable efficiency and effectiveness.
- To establish and implement comprehensive quality management plans tailored to each project's requirements.
- To coordinate customer and supplier inspections, audits, and testing procedures to ensure that all aspects of the project meet stringent quality standards, industry regulations, and client expectations.
- To perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- To maintain, develop, and process documents.
- To perform data analysis and data visualization to support continuous improvement projects.
- To develop/monitor quality program metrics to evaluate the projects performance.
- To analyse said metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and then work with the applicable parties to correct those items.
- To proactively identify potential risks and areas for improvement, employing your technical acumen to resolve challenges and ensure the seamless integration of various disciplines.
- To compile and transmit Data Quality Packs to Customers on completion of projects.
- To conduct in process and final inspections of fabricated parts and WIP Visual Weld Inspection, training to be provided.
- To run ISO9001;2015 QMS and prepare for NSAI External Audits.
- To maintain and familiarise with relevant Standards used in the organisation.
Your Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant Engineering or Quality discipline.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role with previous quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) programs.
- Good understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
- Familiarity with validation and documentation of processes within a regulated industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
