Tax Specialist

The role of a tax specialist involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws. In the corporate tax environment, this requires in-depth knowledge of tax implications related to corporate actions such as mergers and acquisitions.
Key responsibilities include reviewing tax implications of corporate actions, preparing and/or reviewing end-of-period closing and reporting for U.S. withholding tax process, monitoring the firm's risk profile related to investments that may generate U.S. trade or business income, and partnering with Compliance and Risk Controls teams to ensure no negative tax implications to external investors.
Tax specialists must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues across different departments within the firm.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in a tax, accounting, or finance role at a public accounting firm or within the financial services / asset management space. A Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for communicating with senior colleagues across different departments within the firm.
A self-starter with proven ability to work independently and efficiently, experience working with remote teams across different time zones, and highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills are also preferred.
- Key qualifications:
