Our finance team in Cork seeks a professional to manage daily accounting and bookkeeping functions on a part-time basis for an initial contract. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records and smooth operations through effective management of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including processing of purchase and sales invoices, and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Audit and post financial transactions using Xero accounting software accurately.
  • Process supplier payments and perform credit control duties efficiently.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of month-end financial accounts correctly.
  • Support the statutory audit process by preparing and supplying necessary documentation promptly.
  • Handle financial queries from stakeholders and support general financial administration effectively.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely, reliable financial data to support decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and business needs.
