As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing heavy machinery in the field and ensuring that it is functioning correctly. This will involve working with various types of equipment and technology, as well as collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new machinery, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Carry out regular service and maintenance checks on plant and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair faults with machinery on customer premises.
  • Conduct pre-inspection checks on new machines before installation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Liaise closely with the workshop manager and team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years' experience as a fitter, preferably in a similar role.
  • A full driving license, essential for travel between job sites.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to our Cavan base.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Desirable to have tools and hardware knowledge.
