Job Title: Corporate Governance Professional

">We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the effective governance and operation of the Board and its Committees in line with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies. Reporting to the Chairperson, the Corporate Governance Professional will be responsible for ensuring timely preparation and distribution of agendas and Board papers, attends meetings, records accurate minutes and actions, and maintains appropriate records and document retention.">Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparation of agendas in collaboration with the Chairperson;
  • Coordinating, distributing, and archiving Board papers and minutes;
  • Ensuring timely communication of draft minutes and action logs;
  • Tracking and following up on Board actions;
  • Providing governance advice to the Chairperson and Board;
  • Supporting the induction and mentoring of new Board members;
  • Maintaining the register of disclosed interests in line with policy.
">Requirements:
  • Educated to Degree level in relevant field (or equivalent qualification);
  • Previous experience working in a Board Secretary role, ideally in the public sector or corporate secretarial department;
  • In-depth knowledge of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies;
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and influence at all levels;
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of an on/off site team environment, self-manage and prioritise daily workload;
  • Strong technical and IT skill with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
