Social Support Worker Role

In this role, you will work with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities, providing support and care to enable them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

You will need a strong understanding of legislation protecting vulnerable adults and experience working with challenging behaviours. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as proficiency in IT skills relevant to the role.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
  • At least 1 year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours.
