Senior Cardiac Physiologist Job Description

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting and providing non-invasive cardiac diagnostics.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing and reporting transthoracic echo and highlighting abnormal recordings.
  • Performing and reporting other non-invasive cardiac tests as listed above when necessary.
  • Portable testing where necessary.
  • Working in the community cardiology diagnostic service on a rotational basis.
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised in the Cath Lab.
  • Be competent in device implantation and follow up (including home monitoring).
  • To work towards personal accreditation in TTE and departmental accreditation.
  • To work towards personal accreditation in CRM and Cath Lab accreditation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) or an equivalent relevant scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science(IIMCS)
  • A minimum of 3 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 3 years fulltime) relevant post qualification experience.
