Mechanical and Electrical Installation Specialist

We are seeking a proactive engineer to ensure that quality standards are consistently met across our mechanical and electrical installations.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and a strong understanding of quality control practices on M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Quality Plans: Create and maintain QA/QC plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements tailored to project-specific scopes.
- Implement Stage Tagging: Manage stage tagging and hold-point processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure phased sign-offs.
- Benchmark New Technologies: Lead first-of-a-kind (FOAK) benchmarking activities to establish reference standards for new technologies and systems.
- Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform regular site inspections, oversee QA checks, and lead client walkdowns to ensure compliance and sign-off at each stage.
- Maintain Quality Records: Document all quality records, including checklists, NCRs, punch lists, test reports, and sign-off sheets.
- Provide Quality Updates: Offer regular updates on quality performance, issues, and resolutions to project and senior management.
- Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
- Oversight of Subcontractors: Review and approve subcontractor QA documentation and ensure their work meets required standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Incorporate lessons learned into quality systems to continually enhance performance and reliability across projects.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
- Demonstrated QA/QC experience on mechanical and electrical construction projects.
- Familiarity with first-of-a-kind project delivery, stage tagging, and structured walkdown processes.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidelines.
- Skilled in developing inspection plans and managing document control workflows.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
