Quality Assurance and Control Engineer

We are seeking a proactive engineer to ensure that quality standards are consistently met across our mechanical and electrical installations.


The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and a strong understanding of quality control practices on M&E projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Quality Plans: Create and maintain QA/QC plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements tailored to project-specific scopes.
  2. Implement Stage Tagging: Manage stage tagging and hold-point processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure phased sign-offs.
  3. Benchmark New Technologies: Lead first-of-a-kind (FOAK) benchmarking activities to establish reference standards for new technologies and systems.
  4. Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform regular site inspections, oversee QA checks, and lead client walkdowns to ensure compliance and sign-off at each stage.
  5. Maintain Quality Records: Document all quality records, including checklists, NCRs, punch lists, test reports, and sign-off sheets.
  6. Provide Quality Updates: Offer regular updates on quality performance, issues, and resolutions to project and senior management.
  7. Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
  8. Oversight of Subcontractors: Review and approve subcontractor QA documentation and ensure their work meets required standards.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Incorporate lessons learned into quality systems to continually enhance performance and reliability across projects.

Requirements:


  1. Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
  2. Demonstrated QA/QC experience on mechanical and electrical construction projects.
  3. Familiarity with first-of-a-kind project delivery, stage tagging, and structured walkdown processes.
  4. Working knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidelines.
  5. Skilled in developing inspection plans and managing document control workflows.
  6. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
