Part-Time Cook

This part-time role is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and make a positive impact on the lives of residents at Our Lady's Care Home in Belfast.

• Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
• Dietary Requirements: Cater to individual dietary needs, including allergens and health-related restrictions.
• Meal Variety: Create a variety of well-balanced and appealing meals that meet residents' preferences.
• Collaboration and Menu Development: Work with residents and management to develop weekly or monthly menus, ensuring variety and nutritional value.
• Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely meal service.
• Stock Control: Maintain stock control, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies.
• Waste Management and Budgeting: Minimise food waste and manage budgets effectively.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to high standards of food safety and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cooking and delivering excellent dining experiences, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills. They must be able to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
