Electrical Design Engineer Role

This electrical design engineer position is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic R&D environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical engineering projects, driving reliability and cost improvements through innovation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to delivery, ensuring they meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Apply 6-Sigma tools and techniques to problem-solving and new product development, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with software development and controls groups to develop software specifications and controls algorithms, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality solutions.
  • Build and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and developing solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate regulatory testing and certification processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying knowledge to improve products and processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or master's in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in design and testing, preferably in aerospace, industrial, or automotive industries.
  • Familiarity with induction motor and permanent magnet generator technology is an advantage.
  • Experience in control systems, software testing, and debug is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in component qualification programs and new product development in automotive or machinery environments is beneficial.
  • English language proficiency and other European languages are advantageous.
  • Project management skills and experience in related areas such as reliability engineering, mechanical design, FMEA, 6 Sigma, vibration measurement, FEA, stress analysis, and failure analysis are desirable.
