About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team. As an expert in manufacturing and process optimization, you will play a key role in driving results and improving product quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support new product introductions and technical transfers to and from the site, including new technologies.
- Optimize processes and equipment to sustain and improve product quality, yields, and throughput.
- Drive problem-solving efforts in a cross-functional team environment.
- Develop and execute process development on existing products or new late-stage clinical products, including scale-up to plant equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement activities and participate in cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Provide technical support to Production Team Leaders for process/equipment optimization and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate safety, quality, and environmental compliance goals and investigate deviations, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented.
- Prepare process and safety preparations, including risk assessment and HazOp.
- Support commercial and commercialization products, including process and equipment validation.
- Monitor process performance during production.
Requirements
- An honours degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of diverse teams in an inclusive manner.
- Previous experience in API or Drug Product, as well as aptitude for problem-solving in a technical environment.
- Self-driven with respect to driving results and implementing identified improvement initiatives.
