Site Acquisition Professional

The Site Acquisition Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of a strong, reliable leased portfolio to power our cloud services.

Key responsibilities include developing strategic relationships with c-suite executives and key lessors, leasing and acquiring data centre capacity, conducting market research, and identifying acquisition opportunities.

Additional duties include negotiating commercial terms, constructing complex lease agreements, and creating innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess experience working in a team environment, strong coordination skills, and knowledge of negotiating lease agreements.

Strong analytical skills are required to ensure effective strategy implementation. Responsibilities also involve collaborating with finance, operations, security, and networking teams to prepare business cases and deal summaries for senior staff approval.

Ultimately, the successful candidate will drive regional success by coordinating activities effectively.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field is required. A minimum of 3+ years of portfolio management, real estate, or office management experience is also essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience in Data Center lease agreements, site selection for industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, and financial modeling. Knowledge of the Data Center industry and operators in region, as well as experience in leading complex negotiations and contract formation, is preferred.

Additionally, general understanding of hybrid real estate solutions such as Build-to-suit, Retail, and Wholesale leases (Data Center a plus), limited travel in the EMEA region, and ability to meet Microsoft customer and/or government security screening requirements are required.

The position will also require passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
