We are seeking a highly motivated Education and Research Coordinator to join our team at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. The successful candidate will have expertise in applied health services research or health professions education and be passionate about improving the recognition, diagnosis, and management of Sjgren's syndrome.
About the Programme
The SYNERG-IE Programme is a five-year research initiative focused on addressing longstanding challenges in the recognition, diagnosis, and management of Sjgren's syndrome. This chronic autoimmune disease affects approximately 1 in 200 people and is associated with significant morbidity. Our programme aims to advance our understanding of Sjgren's syndrome and its impact on individuals and communities through a collaborative and inclusive approach.
About the Job
As an Education and Research Coordinator, you will contribute to the development of educational resources for students, healthcare professionals, and people living with Sjgren's syndrome. You will also participate in public and patient involvement activities and contribute to the development of new research ideas and funding applications. Your expertise in curriculum design and evaluation will be invaluable in informing our educational priorities and strategies.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced coordinator who has a strong track record in health services research or health professions education. You will have excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex scientific information into clear and concise language. Your experience in evaluating and interpreting complex scientific literature will be essential in informing our research priorities and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development of educational resources for students, healthcare professionals, and people living with Sjgren's syndrome
• Participate in public and patient involvement activities
• Develop and submit ethics applications and respond to comments/queries
• Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders during the co-design process
• Lead evaluation of the educational interventions
• Contribute to a collaborative research priority setting process
