Job Description

This role involves leading the delivery of a national electric vehicle charging infrastructure programme across healthcare sites in Ireland. The successful candidate will source and appoint an external service provider to design, install, and maintain EV charging solutions that meet national decarbonisation objectives and healthcare sustainability priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement process to source and appoint a qualified service provider to deliver EV charging infrastructure.
  • Define project requirements, prepare tender documentation, and manage all aspects of public procurement ensuring compliance with national guidelines.
  • Act as the client-side project manager, overseeing and coordinating the appointed service providers performance to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local facility managers, Estates Departments, utility providers, local authorities, and regulatory bodies to support delivery.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Science, or a related Level 8 Academic discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, ideally involving outsourced service delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience with public processes desirable Contractor management.
  • Strong understanding of EV charging systems, sustainable transport policy, and decarbonisation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in project management software and reporting tools.
