Job Description

This Strategic Sourcing Specialist role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies to achieve the best total value across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will effectively manage the seven steps of the sourcing process, including Spend analysis, Market Research, Supplier Due Diligence, Sourcing Strategy, RFX Management, Bid Analysis, and Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management.

The primary goal is to create sourcing strategies that secure the materials and services needed at the right price, time, and quality while mitigating risk.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers using industry cost models, RFX development and execution, proposal evaluation, total cost of ownership, and supplier selection recommendation.
  • Perform analysis of financial and business data related to supplier proposals and capability assessments to support the development of Verizon's supply base.
  • Support cross-functional teams, contract negotiation, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
