Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data protection laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.



About the Role:
  • Design, implement, and oversee data protection frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with GDPR and industry best practices;
  • Establish data protection governance objectives and key risk indicators that align with the company's risk appetite and compliance requirements;
  • Liaise with data protection regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders on all data protection matters;
  • Stay informed on developments in data protection law, regulatory developments, and industry trends and advise senior leadership on their impact;
  • Provide training and support to employees across multiple jurisdictions to enhance data protection awareness and accountability;


Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance within the financial services industry;
  • Deep understanding of GDPR and its application in financial services;
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing data protection programs in a multi-jurisdictional environment;
  • Strong background in data mapping, records management, DPIAs, and third-party risk management;
  • Experience managing data breaches, incident response planning, and regulatory reporting obligations;
