We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in providing high-quality meals for residents at our nursing home. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to prepare nutritious and varied diets that meet individual needs and preferences.

**Responsibilities:**

">
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold meals for residents as required;
  • Provide special dietary requirements where necessary, taking into account resident preferences;
  • Consult with the Head Chef when planning and costing menus to ensure a balanced and nutritious diet;
  • Maintain statutory health and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas;
  • Ensure implementation of Health and Safety, Infection Control, and Hygiene policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • Formal training in cookery or related field;
  • Full certification in HACCP;
  • Trained in modified food as per SALT guidelines;
  • Compliance with all food hygiene regulations;
  • Background in managing kitchen environment;
  • Fluent English, spoken and written;
  • Experience in nursing home/hospital environment advantageous.
