GIS Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team, supporting the development of infrastructure projects across various sectors.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work as part of cross-disciplinary teams, contributing to preliminary design, statutory consent, and construction stage projects. Responsibilities include preparing constraints studies, option assessments, public information documents, and statutory applications for public and private infrastructure projects.

You will also be responsible for creating high-quality mapping and analytical assessments to inform project development, assisting project managers, scientists, and engineers in collating, analyzing, and presenting various datasets.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in GIS, Data Analytics, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop suite of software and extensions for spatial analysis, large complex map production, and GIS database management.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting language.
  • Familiarity with current sources of publicly available data, including National Parks Wildlife Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Geological Survey Ireland, and CSO.
  • Knowledge of appropriate map projections and transformations in the Irish context.
  • Experience in georeferencing and digitizing.
  • Production of large map sets of publication quality mapping.
