As an Electrical Supervisor with John Sisk & Son, you will play a critical role in the delivery of electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work in our Life Science Team in Tralee.

You will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the required standard.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills, working closely with the project team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  1. Safety and Quality: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality, ensuring all electrical work is carried out in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise a team of electricians, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  3. Project Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of electrical projects, including preparing method statements and permits.
  4. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Progress Tracking: Track and document the progress of on-site activities, ensuring projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
  6. ITP Review: Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and Inspection Test Records (ITR's). Ensure all testing and inspection activities are completed in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  7. System Walkdowns: Participate in system walkdowns to verify installations meet project specifications and standards.
  8. Punch List Management: Manage the closeout of relevant punch list items to ensure project completion.
  9. Turnover Documentation: Review and approve turnover documentation to ensure it meets project and client requirements.
  10. Commissioning Coordination: Coordinate and witness commissioning activities to ensure a smooth handover to clients.
  11. Meetings and Updates: Attend meetings with relevant disciplines and contractors to provide updates, address concerns, and collaborate with the project team and stakeholders.
Experience
  1. Electrical Supervision: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, preferably in a pharmaceutical or clean room environment.
  2. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of electricians.
Qualifications
  1. Degree Preference: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, although not essential.
