Social Care Worker
">Job Description:">Camphill Communities of Ireland is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join their team as a Social Care Worker.
">This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
">As a Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support to residents, including assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
">You will also be required to work closely with other team members to ensure that the overall growth and direction of the residents is achieved, while working within the ethos of Camphill Communities of Ireland.
">The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
">They will also have a minimum of one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities, and hold a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework (BA in Social Care Studies) or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
">CORU registration is also essential, along with proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
">Full driver's licence and availability of own car are also required for this role.

Person Centred Support for Living:

- Ensure a person-centred approach to service delivery.">
- Support individuals with occupation, leisure activities, communication, behaviour support plans, independent living skills, social integration, and personal care.">
- Act as a Key Worker and lead in developing and implementing person-centred plans.">
- Coordinate medical appointments and ensure healthy and nutritious diets.">
- Develop and implement training, leisure, and social activities.">
- Facilitate community integration through generic facilities.">
- Ensure adherence to behaviour support plans and promote self-help and social skills.">
- Provide physical and personal support as required.">
- Encourage participation in recreational and leisure activities.">
- Assist with managing finances and meal preparation.">
- Support religious and pastoral needs where applicable.">
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain records.">
Management and Leadership:

- Ensure adherence to legislative, regulatory requirements, and CCoI policies.">
- Maintain up-to-date records for individuals and ensure accuracy of reports and financial statements.">
- Report concerns immediately to the Person in Charge.">
- Coordinate house team schedules and ensure adequate cover.">
- Coordinate staff and volunteers, assist with induction and training, and contribute to a positive team environment.">
- Utilise transport services efficiently and advise on transport needs.">
Money and Budgets:

- Account for petty cash and personal monies in line with policies.">
- Maintain petty cash float and balanced accounts.">
- Ensure goods and services are used for their intended purposes.">
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.">
- Manage house accounts and monthly submissions to the service office.">
A minimum of Level 7 on the QQI Framework (BA in Social Care Studies) or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care is required.
">One year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities is also essential.
